Newborn Photography in the Tri-Cities & Greater Vancouver
Your baby sets the pace.
I’m Mary. I’ve been photographing newborns and their families since 2015. Every session is calm and baby-led: we feed, cuddle and settle whenever your little one needs it, and I handle every pose with care. You just sit back, rest, and watch your baby get spoiled.
When should I book my newborn session?
The sweetest sleepy, curled-up photos happen when your baby is 5 to 14 days old. Since no one knows exactly when baby will arrive, most parents book during pregnancy, around 20–30 weeks. I hold a spot around your due date, and you message me once baby is here so we can set the exact day.
Baby came early, or you’re past the first two weeks? Get in touch anyway. Older babies photograph beautifully too, just with a few more awake and alert moments.
How your session works
- Free consultation. We talk about the look you love, colours, family photos and any special items you’d like included.
- Before baby arrives. I send you a short guide: how to dress baby, what to bring, and how to keep baby warm, fed and sleepy.
- Session day. About 1 hour (Mini) or 2–3 hours (Regular and Full). The room is kept warm and quiet, and we stop for feeds and cuddles whenever needed. There’s no rush.
- Your gallery. You choose your favourites, retouched in colour and black and white, delivered within 4 weeks.

Your baby’s safety comes first
Every pose is gentle and baby-led. If baby isn’t comfortable in a position, we don’t do it. Composite poses, like the classic “chin on hands”, are done with a parent’s hands supporting baby and combined in editing. I wash my hands and props between sessions, and baby is never left unsupported.

Newborn photography FAQ
When is the best time for newborn photos?
When your baby is 5 to 14 days old, when babies are sleepiest and curl up most easily. Book during pregnancy so your spot is held.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
That’s expected. We plan around your due date and set the final date once baby arrives.
Can siblings and parents be in the photos?
Yes. Parent photos are included in every package, and siblings are always free. Extra family members, like grandparents, are $50 per person.
What should we wear?
Soft, solid, neutral colours photograph best. I’ll send you a short what-to-wear guide after you book.

Your retouched gallery is ready within 4 weeks.
Can I combine maternity and newborn photos?
Yes. The Belly to Baby package covers both and saves you $50.
